The WDW Trivia Book!

I just ordered my Walt Disney World Trivia books vol. 1 & 2. According to the author the books will be signed and shipped as soon as vol. 2 comes off the printing press.

It is rumored that the Cast Members must say hello to "George", the resident "ghost" in Pirates of the Caribbean. If a Cast Member doesn't give the morning greeting, or someone on the ride insists, "George isn't real," then the ride will break down. George was rumored to be an Imagineer who designed the track system for the ride.

In Expedition Everest the mammoth-sized Audio-Animatronics Yeti has a potential thrust, in all of its hydraulic cylinders combined, of slightly over 259,000 pounds force -- potentially more instantaneous power than a 747-400 airliner.

Oh where oh where have we gone?

I know I know I am a slacker. I have not been around much, ok not at all. That my friend is about to change. I will also get Robyn to start posting again.

Patiently Waiting

We are using our tax return to pay for our trip this year, and it is supposed to be here on Friday. I can't wait to have that confirmation page in hand, to know it's all paid for and we're set to go. We're horrible parents though, as we are leaving the kids behind. We'll be taking them back with us in 2010 when we go for 3 weeks or so, and we'll be taking the Disney Cruise Line as well. This trip is for us this time. We took them to Disneyland in Sept 2004, and as much fun as it was, they'll be older and able to enjoy it more in 2010!! For this one though, they are staying with the Grandparents.
It is so hard waiting for this check to deposit. I keep looking at the website and watching the price slowly going up, and I would really like to spend that extra money on fun stuff to do there vs. paying more for a bed to sleep in. Unfortunately, it's now out of our control and wait we must!!
One more day, and it should be here. We'll let you know when it does.

Expedition Everest

Walt Disney Wolrd's Animal Kingdom is opening Expedition Everest, it is a massive roller coaster themed on the famous mountain. The ride goes frontwards to encounter a Yeti, and then pulls you back through to escape the monster. If this ride is half as good as Aerosmith's Rockin' Roller Coaster I will be pleased.

Our Disney World Diary

We were married August 24, 2002, and went to Disney World for our honeymoon. Now we're looking forward to our 4th Anniversary and our 1st trip back, on August 24, 2006. We stayed at the Disney All-Star Movies Value Resort the first time around and are looking at staying at one of the All-Star resorts again.
